The Government of Balochistan, Finance Department has issued a notification regarding Revised Basic Pay Scales 2026 Balochistan and Ad-hoc Relief Allowance 2026 (ARA-2026) for provincial government employees. Ad-hoc Relief Allowance 2026 Balochistan @ 7%
Under the Finance Department Balochistan notification dated 22-08-2026, the Ad-hoc Relief Allowance-2026 has been allowed to civil servants at the rate of 7% of running basic pay of the Basic Pay Scales-2026.
The main conditions for payment of ARA 2026 are given below:
- ARA-2026 shall be allowed at 7% of running basic pay of Basic Pay Scale-2026.
- The Ad-hoc Relief Allowance will be subject to Income Tax.
- The allowance will be admissible during leave.
- The allowance will also remain admissible during the entire period of L.P.R., except during extraordinary leave.
- ARA-2026 will not be treated as part of emoluments for calculation of Pension or Gratuity.
- The allowance will not be included for recovery of House Rent.
- The allowance will not be admissible during the period of posting or deputation abroad.
- On repatriation from abroad, the employee will receive the allowance at the rate and amount that would have been admissible if he or she had not been posted abroad.
- ARA-2026 will remain admissible during the period of suspension.
- The term Basic Pay will also include Personal Pay granted because of annual increment(s) beyond the maximum of the existing pay scales.

Option for Basic Pay Scales 2022 or 2026
The Finance Department has also provided an option to existing civil servants regarding the Basic Pay Scales-2022 and Basic Pay Scales-2026.
The concerned provincial departments and attached offices will obtain an irrevocable option in writing from the civil servants within 30 days from the date of issue of the notification.
The employee will have the option to continue drawing salary under the Basic Pay Scales-2022 or to opt for the Basic Pay Scales-2026, as provided in the Finance Department's earlier circular dated 18 August 2022.
What Happens If Employee Does Not Give Option?

The Government of Balochistan will establish an Anomaly Committee in the Finance Department, Regulation Wing, Government of Balochistan.
The committee will look into and resolve anomalies that may arise during the implementation of the Basic Pay Scales-2026.
Conveyance Allowance 2026 Balochistan
Along with the Revised Pay Scales 2026, the Balochistan Government has also increased the Conveyance Allowance (CA) for government employees. The revised conveyance allowance notification covers employees from BPS-01 to BPS-22.
